Overview
Iraq Al Ameer, translating to 'caves of the prince,' reveals Copper Age dwellings in the hills. Discover historical gems like the cave church, Qasr Al-Abed, and the burial cave of the Tobiah family. En route, encounter Qasr Al-Abed, a Hellenistic palace revived after the Galilee earthquake in 363 AD. Admire life-size lion reliefs and leopard fountains. The journey concludes at Al Kafrein water dam, a 480m long, 30m high earthfill dam on Wadi Kafrein, near the active Jordan Valley fault.

Bike from Amman to Al Kafrein Dam on this intermediate route, offering a perfect blend of road and off-road double track. Starting in Dabouq near the King Hussein Bin Tallal Mosque, you'll pass through Bader and Iraq Al Ameer village. Take a pause to appreciate the Hellenistic palace of Qasr Al-Abed before tackling two significant uphills, revealing breathtaking views of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea atop the sand-colored mountains. Conclude the tour triumphantly at Al Kafrein Water Dam via an off-road double track.
