Overview

Perched atop a 1,000-meter high hill, Karak Castle commands stunning views extending to the Dead Sea. Built in the twelfth century, it stands as one of the largest crusader castles in the Levant, serving to monitor passing traders and travelers. Today, Karak is a tranquil city, with the castle drawing numerous visitors. Fun fact: it's the birthplace of Jordan's national dish, Mansaf. The tour concludes at Wadi al-Hasaa, a desert valley offering an oasis-like retreat for hiking and camping. Notably, the Tannur Dam, built upstream in 1999, ensures essential water for agriculture in the arid region
